Inspired by the much-loved Black Forest dessert, this Black Forest Hot Chocolate blends deep chocolate flavours with sweet cherry notes for a truly indulgent drink. It’s a perfect addition to autumn and winter menus, while also working beautifully as a dessert-style hot drink all year round.

Ingredients

(Serves 1)

  • 30g Heavenly Hot Chocolate powder
  • 200ml fresh milk (or dairy alternative)
  • 15ml Simply Black Forest Syrup
  • Simply Cherry Topping Sauce (to drizzle)

Optional:

  • Whipped cream
  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder


Method

  1. Heat the milk
    Gently heat 200ml of milk until hot, but not boiling.
  2. Mix the hot chocolate
    Add 30g Heavenly Hot Chocolate powder to your cup and slowly pour over the hot milk, stirring until smooth.
  3. Add the syrup
    Stir in 15ml Simply Black Forest Syrup.
  4. Finish & serve
    Top with whipped cream if desired and drizzle generously with Simply Cherry Topping Sauce.
